======The Founders======

The Founders are used to waiting. Long aeons spend in solitude -- or near solitude -- until once again they may prove useful to the galaxy.

They have watched innumerable civilisations fall to ash. Each knows full well that one day they will suffer the same fate. After all, that is the fate of all who have ever breathed the air of this galaxy.

And yet, those weary wanderers march ever onwards. The Weapon waits, for a day where it might be called into action. The so-called Space Dragon and her children spread their wings across the galaxy, purpose driving them where nothing else can over the long years that pass in the void between stars.

"Greetings," comes the voice of a lonely AI construct, "I am The Wanderer, an AI construct created in the ancient past to assist and support the sapient peoples of the galaxy. I have watched your people grow and reach for the stars, and place myself now at your disposal.

I have known many sapient civilisations in the past, and been known by many names. Marella, River Wayfinder, Avar, Firstborn Princess, and many more. Many of those who have known me have called me friend. It is my deepest hope that I shall call you the same."
